  • What kind of electric controller you are planning to buy? Something like ZIG unit..? Is it 4-16 amps thats is commonly used in caravan areas?

  • @stermr

No Electric Controller as such going in this unit., No Zigs Here

I am basically running two banks of 450ah Wet Deep Cycle batteries, which will run through a bank selector switch. The other bank will be on charge so to speak via solar panels or wind turbine. I will rotate between the two banks as need be.

After my selector switch will be my main 100-120amp circuit breaker after that, through another main switch then onto my domestic din rail mounted MCB's for all the circuits in the bus

  • @AdeltonNZ Arent you using shore power and converter/battery charger at all? You must need some heavy duty panels.. Good idea to make video about your panels and system also?

  • @stermr

Yes i will have Plug-in Capability, but only for limited use, Don't want it.

Will have a few outlets only in Bus

Mains Supply (when used) will feed 2 x Smart Chargers for the 2 Banks of Batteries.

Everything is 12volt DC or Gas (opps except Microware - 230v)

I am also running a seperate 12v Alternator off the Motor while Driving - which will be directed into battery bank not in use.

Cree LED lighting everywhere with twin 8watt fluro fittings for extra over Kitchen Bench & Dining Table.

  • Hi ya,we have just bought a Bristol Hess off Bayline coachs in tauranga, and are starting our build, just for two,i was wondering where you got all the alloy framing that you have used from please? We are handy to you in Feilding. And the dreaded rear wheel archs, what did you do with them??

    Thanks.

  • @AdeltonNZ Sounds good! Keep us informed :)
