More YouTube randomness (referring to a comment of Dustin's elsewhere)--I live near where this video was taken.

So Sad.

I feel bad because they believed every one made it out just fine. Had no idea there were people in that house down the way who had died. I would have been more somber.

Rural Anderson the old Stake President of the Mount Logan Stake. I think that is how you spell his first name.

I've walked along that canal so many times. It's one of my favorite places to walk. That's sad that something so beautiful could cause that. I hope that whoever didn't maintain the canal is held responsible and that the canal is maintained properly from now on.

Yes - Thanks for the reply. I'm glad you are all okay. What a sad tragedy.
Lastly a nother sad thing that I have heard nobody talk about is the many, many farms that depend on the water from this canal. Their crops are now going to die. So three lives, a lot of peoples property, and many farmers lively hoods have been lost over all of this. I hope that the responsable parties man it up and take their part of the blame, instead of trying to piont the finger elswhere. Than they should do something about this! It has happened 4 times now.

Also that the canal company wanted to pipe it off, but UDOT said no. Because they were concerned about vegetation dying, and the runoff the mountain not being able to drain into the canal. But not getting the go ahead to pipe it off leaves no excuse for not keeping what was there maintained.

It sounds like alot of people are to blame. From what I heard Mr. Anderson warned the residents and the city last August that this would happen with in two years. I think he is a civil engineer.
