being very intelligent its cool, i liked the vid.

that must get really annoying when he keeps on doing that with his head

Those things he does with his neck, hands and his blinking are probably tics. They're not because of being nervous, but can get worse when you're nervous if you already have tics. A lot of people with ASDs have tics, also known as a tourettism. He could have a comorbid tic disorder either, I have both aspergers and tourettes, but members of my family have aspergers without tourettes, just occasional mild tics

Bothers me so badly that other kids wouldn't take the time to get to know him just b/c he's not into sports. They are missing out BIG TIME. He seems really sweet & these kids could learn so much from him. Worse thing is adults are the same. If another adult doesn't fit their "mold", they make fun of them or disclude them. Zach is going to soar beyond what anyone thinks! He will.

I am 10 and have Asperger"s. I am studying in mostly middle and some high school classes. Science and math are my favorite classes.I have some really good friends but many kids are afraid to understand me. They are the ones with problems not me ;0

@tanmanveal People with autism have lower than avreage iq if this kid is intelligent then avreage people are very intelligen
-
Asperger isnt syndrome where child is very intelligent but socially handicapped, not all autistic people are high in IQ, its easy for parents to think their child is special but realisticly IQ isnt limited to math and memory but to social behavior to. Humans are social animals, Talk to your children and involve them in activities its probably something else that combined with your lifestyle and their ongoing isolation causes them to be even more detached.

Following up on my last comments, labeled me with aspergers because I didn't care to make friends but rather master learning everything.
-
I was 1 1/2 when I started speaking because I caught onto patterns quickly and still do now... But people "labeled" me with autism which encouraged me to never see them again after college. Now I'm even more successful since lets just say the market is a massive pattern that I solved a long time ago.
For an autistic 11 year old, he sounds more comprehensive then most teenagers I know. He's obviously an intelligent kid, despite his short comings. I can already tell I'd be fond of him if I ever got to know him.
