streetlight manifesto technically isn't ska, or ska punk. at all. there is nothing ska about horns. horns are accents to ska, they are additional instruments commonly added in order to produce catchy melodies. the ska comes from mainly the bass and guitar.

The Bosstones track you played is nothing like Ska (wanna be top 40 punk at best) they might play some Ska music but that track is not. Look up King Apparatus - Made for TV if you need an example of the genre.

i like ska, and i respect your taste, but when you put ska punk, i was thinkin more along the lines of sublime, simply stoopid and cat empire. This is too poppunk for my tastes. Sounds like blink 182 meets ska, and personally, i hate blink 182. Not even punk imo. Neither are green day. But that's just my opinion.
