Cardiacs doing Ideal on June 23, 1993. No idea who took this video, but it was made avaliable online initially by Dreek, so an extra special thank you to him.

  • was this song ever released on any kind of disc? I think I heard a radio session of it at some point, but it doesn't appear to be on any of their albums. I really like it 'n' all.

  • It's on the Day is Gone single, which is really, really hard to find on CD but fairly avaliable on vinyl if you check ebay or the like. I heard rumors back a while ago about a b-sides CD so who knows.

  • I was there!! Can't remember where exactly 'there' is- but I was 'there' all the time in those days....

Great gig, and Ideal is one of the best moshing songs ever! I think Dominic was still drumming at this point wasn't he? Didn't Bob take over a year or so later....?

Oh, was it the Powerhaus? I remember the sound being REALLY deafening there and I lost most of my hearing for about two weeks! Happy Days.....!!

  • i've never seen tim with hair this long!

    nice rare footage-cheers mrminnow

  • The sound isn't too bad, considering when it was filmed and where the position of the camera is.

  • If this is the right band and the drummer is called Bob Leith, the drummer is my uncle!
