@CMink7777 Accidents happen in ALL planes. It's true ag pilots are at the most risk as far as pilots go, but don't make it sound like only ag pilots die in planes. And by the way, those spraying schools are a joke.

Crop dusters were part of my youth. I grew up in the country surrounded by agriculture. Watching this video...., I could almost smell the insecticide.

Yup, tall tail 301. I dont agree with your suggestion about gearing it, though. I love 1340's, but my experience with the geared versions has been less than favorable.

One of my best friends was trying to become a crop duster last year. He was taking flight lessons in Michigan. He was only 47 and lost his life in a piper vagabond last year. He has two young kids. I was looking at getting into spraying as well. I even talked to some of the different flight schools. Then I realized that it doesn't matter how good a pilot you are, anything can happen in one of those planes. I talked to several people who knew experienced pilotsflying thier whole lives that died!

Yes....this is a very dangerous business requiring great skill & vigilance and a passion for flying.Sometimes the accidents that occur are just that...accidents
