Benedict XVI: Don't be indifferent to the poor

Benedict XVI made an appeal to the Pro Petri Sede and Etrennes Pontificales associations to attend to the needs of the disadvantaged. The Pope observed that during this year dedicated to Saint Paul it is necessary to reinforce the idea that the Church is a living body of people, united in following Christ and by the sharing of the Eucharistic banquet. For this reason, the baptized cannot be indifferent to the needs of those who do not have access to necessary nourishment.
