  • so cute ... u spoil them alot <3

  • @madzrandomz: Well, some might call it "spoiling," but I call it manipulating the environment, something that has a very strong influence on birds. When a bird has what it needs in the environment provided for him, he will be much less inclined to create havoc with YOUR things...

  • 10 grams! So teeny! What a great video, made me smile. Babi is like "You are such a pretty birdy" And the little finch is like "Stop trying to get at me, I'll get you!" Ha ha ha! Miscommunication?

  • I think it is the "gambler syndrome": with all his persistence, Babi sometimes succeeds in doing a little "beak-to-beak" and/or touching her back (see, e.g., "Seducer Budgie Li'l Babi" on my channel). So he figures that he WILL be successful some of the time... Does Biquette simply get so fed up that she gives in? Or is it a "hormonal" thing? Beats me!

  • I love this video, but have to point something out to you... Your beautiful little Babi is a female. If she was a male, the nostril area above the beak would be blue... Lovely video though! Thanks for sharing.

  • Thank you for your kind comments, bea1980uk. It is common to mistake Babi for a female. These types of pastel-coloured recessive pieds (no lines on the head) have the cere the opposite colour of "ordinary" budgies: pinkish in the male and blueish in the females. Babi will soon be 6 and there is absolutely no doubt that he is a male (and has been confirmed as such by "medical" authorities).

  • I think it's more annoying to us than to her...

Bon W-E !

  • Now we understand better why Mozambicus is classified as an "aggressive finch"!
