Local veterans procured a tank for the Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery in Liberty, NY. It will be a "static memorial." First, it had to be shipped, then unloaded, which is what this video shows. They pull it off its trailer with a truck, while one guy sits inside the tank, ready to hit the breaks.

  • Okay, some folks commenting this little vid know way more about trucks, rigging, and such than I do. BUT, I don't think putting that tank in neutral and pulling off that bed in any way compares to the forces involved with pulling a "stuck tank." Of the two top comments, I'd sooner believe the "I can push that thing with one hand" guy than the "the guy in camo is a fool" fellow. The tank moves as soon as the truck pulls it. The bed is even tilted a bit. No need to dis folks in uniform.

  • Was that the Tank that revved up?

  • I'm pretty sure it was just the truck pulling it off the trailer. The tank was out of commission, some one was inside it just to work the breaks.

  • The guy standing behind the tractor dressed in camo is an absolute fool, years ago I worked with a guy who was in the army and they were pulling a stuck tank when the cable broke ,whipped back and cut a guy in half. true story.

  • I hate sarcasm, don't you?

  • 95% of all cables whip back and cut people in half. True story.

  • @bugradio the gooseneck is the front of the lowboy that was carrying the tank they had to take it off to get the tank off

  • @dirtbiker4lfe this is a monument to the men that died serving these tanks., its an outdated relic, im glad honoring the troops makes you angry. now go fuck yourself.

  • @1934rod the tank isnt stuck, its sitting on a decline. that cable was in zero danger of snapping. lets not forget his job is to jump in front of bullets. risk is a part of life.

  • @railfan844 yes you can because it goes fast enough.

  • sa serai trop d etre dedans

  • @excite236 You can't cut a man with a cable.

  • Im sorry but this video makes me so angry, That tank has so much possibility, Not just a static momument that will rust away.

This is not how you honor something.
