Nanea Kou Maka I Ka Le'ale'a

Nanea Kou Maka I Ka Le'ale'a is a traditional Slack Key piece often associated with Raymond Kane. The liner notes from his Punahele CD translate the title as Relaxed is your face in pleasure. This clearly does not describe me when I was playing it in this video. While this was not the best take of the bunch musically, it had less weird facial expressions than the others so I went with that. Taught to me by Patrick Landeza.

Love the new Godall... is it Koa and spruce? Where did you get it? Nice playing ... you're doing great with the slack key.Ken said you were wondering about string noise. Sometimes coated strings are a little better at cutting that down a little. :)
