"Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" is a Christmas song by John Lennon, Yoko Ono and the Plastic Ono Band. It was recorded at Record Plant Studios in New York City in late October 1971, with the help of producer Phil Spector. It features heavily echoed vocals, and a sing-along chorus. The children singing in the background were from the Harlem Community Choir and are credited on the song's single. The lyrics were written by Lennon and Ono, while the melody and chord structure were taken from the folk standard known as "Stewball".[1]

Although the song is a protest song about the Vietnam War, it has become a Christmas standard and has appeared on several Christmas albums.

Reminds me of riding the school bus and our bus driver would always play the radio. It was just after John Lennon was killed and this song played over and over and I would be crying all the way to school and back.

So you're saying that it's harder to believe that fish and monkeys slowly changed over time to meet their needs in an ever changing environment and it's easier to believe an invisible man in the sky magically created himself and then randomly poofed stuff up? And please tell me, why do we still paraphrase a book written like 3500 years ago? I think most of the shit in that book if not all is terribly outdated and should just be thrown way.

Can someone tell me if this is the Beatles or John's solo work? I always thought it was John's solo work but people are saying it's the Beatles

though it is true religions cause war, think of it, it is also a human's will for power, and to have more then another that drives us to war. And since Humanity made up religions (I'm an athiest) We made up our own blame for war.

Don't have to believe me, there are hundreds found on Greece, Turkey, France, and other parts of Asia. Facts are clear, you haven't give me any evidence at all yet you say you understand it. Please sir, I understand more science and if I tell you facts you would just laugh at me just like the giant bones, do your homework you little brat before judging the facts before you. Evolution is not science is a religion, look for the definition of science before commenting.

    Bones of "giants" - sure...

Your argumentation doesn't make any sense, seriously.

And YOU are the one making yourself look stupid, as you seem to have no idea of what evolution is and also don't understand it, so you'd better be quiet. Go read from that fairy tale book some guys with hallucinations wrote a few centuries ago. I'll rather stick to the brothers Grimm, just that I know that their stories are only fictional.

It's sad how these days people can still be so unlettered/ignorant. Blocked.
