A lot of you people don't know what you're talking about. ISU had a history of a losing program, I bet you if Bryant would of of coached there then there would be any improvement too. So therefore, Auburn did save Chizik. And Chizik if familiar with Auburn's traditinon and how they play ball. and look who we got as Defensive Cordinator and Offensive Cordinator, Auburn is going to be an explosive team on both sides of the ball.

Yeah, I'd hate to attend school in Iowa, providing the average education level that citizens reach north of the Mason-Dixon line is around 8th grade. Fortune 500 companies only choose Auburn graduates because they "can't read." Makes alot of sense.
But Hell, if Yanks think that the South is so bad and we're all dumb, that makes it better for us. There's less idiots migrating down here from up there, but in reality there is already too many.

@tkcyclone, What an idiot your are. Gene went 14-0 and won the 2010 SEC and National Championships. What has Iowa State done? LOSE. Can you say fail moron?

My bad. I clearly had no idea that chiz was going to be allowed to pay for players at Auburn. Oh well, in a few years we'll be able to look back on the 2010-11 season and realize that it never really happened. I'm also sure that being able to pay coordinators head coaching salaries had no effect on this what-so-ever. All hail the chiz!
And stop talking about Iowa State like you know anything about us. Until chiz arrived, we hadn't had consecutive losing seasons since '99.

@tkcyclone lol terrible coach? National Championship in his 2nd year? don't be upset because he couldnt go anywhere with the shit players iowa state has to settle for..
-
@tkcyclone you were saying? ;) 13-0 :p
-
@tkcyclone 13-0. I'd say it was a brilliant hire, wouldn't you?
-
LOL You said it perfectly. You said Coach Chizik took you straight BACK to being awful. That implies that ISU has a tradition of being awful. Hey, it could be worse though. You could be playing in the Big 12. Oh, wait. Nevermind.

GO CHIZIK........ Records mean shit.. tuberville went 20-25..at ole miss.. Look what he did for auburn... If you don't know look it up.... WDE!
-
Haha, you keep on thinking that. Auburn is not Iowa State. The mastermind of our #1-in-the-nation defense is back on the Plains. WAR EAGLE.
-
hahaha that's sad that you people consider 4 bowls in 6 years "success" -- that's pathetic
hahahahahahahahahaha
I hope these people were drugged before they were forced to go to this...otherwise they're idiots.
Thanks, Auburn! Not only did you take a giant douche, who is a terrible coach off our hands, but you actually paid us $750,000 for him. Jesus, how stupid are you people?

yeah im sure the next up and coming coach will be jumping at the chance to ruin their career at ISU. Auburn saved Coach Chizik with this hire.

That would've been an absolutely awesome comeback if it were true.
I dare you to name one other "up and coming coach" that came to ISU and "ruined their career."
You weren't here for the past two years, the guy took a program that went to bowls 4 out of 6 years and took us straight back to being awful.
Good luck finding someone that will be willing to replace him after he tears your program to pieces.
Auburn didn't save Chiz, Auburn saved Iowa State.

compare his coaching staff at ISU to his at Auburn now. I'd say the cast is a mold for success here. Auburn is a lot easier place to recruit for employment. Our assistants get head coaching jobs. My proof in the fact that you have a good one now. Doubtful he finds much success but he was a good hire in the fact that he's from there and wants to be there.

and as far as the program finding no success under a new coach. that's going to happen anywhere you have a coaching turnover, unless the talent that was there before was unreal. Making a bowl game doesnt make you talented. It means you know and understand your system well enough to execute and win a few ball games.

You know, about 90% of those are plants that Auburn put there to make him feel welcome.

about 90% of those there probably didnt agree with the hire either. i was one of them, but we support our university and our football team regardless. if you weren't there keep your speculation to yourself.
