Sewage Plant Zone (Sega Genesis sound chip emulation)

A short loop which I considered submitting to the Open Sonic project, but they don't allow sounds to be sampled from the original games (in this case the drums).

As always, it was made using the VOPM plugin (what else).

Im curios do you the melodies just on the fly or do you analyze the structure of the music from the genesis sonic games? it sounds so authentic or does this just come because of the instruments and sound chip emulation?

@rosenbraut Good question. The VOPM makes it authentic. Tweaking the bass and backing instruments is the most time consuming, and I have spent probably too many hours analyzing how those work and sound in Sonic music. The melody is trial and error, and I've thrown out plenty of emulation songs because I couldn't make the lead feel “Sonicky” enough; there's not much method to that part.
