There are those who miss the wand. Thank God I'm not one of them. Spaceship Earth was beautiful the way it was. Just its simplicity was enough for it to be remembered. Then Disney stuck that awful piece of garbage on top of it.
Goodbye EPCOT Center Fantasia "wand" (one was never actually used during the sequence), and good riddance.

i like it when it said 2000 i whis they had 2001 2002 2011 but epcot was ugly when it was on the wand

I love you wand! No matter what they say you were the symbol of Epcot and a book filled with beautiful memories. You were truly a magic wand exclusive to Epcot. EPCOT 2000 FOREVER!!

On the other hand it wasn't as bad as Cinderella's castle being turned into a giant birthday cake.

The giant wand was just one step away from a giant golf club. I was glad to hear it was taken down. Now the sorcerer's hat at MGM has to go next.

i hated that wand i mesed up the true image of epcot. The epcot ball wasnt meant to have a mickey wand hanging over it.

You are going to Walt DISNEY WORLD. A place for FAMILIES (adults and kids). There is gonna be Mickey and characters EVERYWHERE sorry to tell you. Thanks for the comment though. :o)

Oh yea.! Can ya believe that. :o) Well its true. Can ya believe that some people didn't like Horizons too...not me, but I know of some. It's always gonna be like that - some people like this, some like that. It's all good.

I made the video as a fan of WDW, Epcot, Spaceship Earth and The Wand. The video was done, definitely as a parody (I made it to use on our free online Disney fan TV show - titled; Beyond Main Street)and I wanted it to be a little hokey, silly, and funny. That said, I am big fan of The Wand and still will miss it - so to me it does bum me a bit. Thanks for the comments everyone. -LOU
