Quite nice. I'd like to see more concept work at this grade. The overall look and feel needs to improve, significantly.

The logo at the end of the rotation sequence should fade in slower. also the colours of the logo don't fit 100% to the nice glowing dots, if the logo would have the same colours like the glowing dots and also glow a bit, it would be much better.

This is incredible! The login screen looks amazing.
I have seen a LOT of great ideas for the boot splash and login screen and I tell you, Canonical better include one (if not more) of them!
Seriously, I'm not joking. It would be so disappointing if one of these don't make it to the final Karmic release!

All of it was great except for the three animated balls turning into the Ubuntu logo - it is too reminiscent of the Windows Vista/Win7 logo and we should be distancing ourselves from that, not looking like a clone or rip-off.
Other than that, thumbs up!

Thanks for the feedback.
I really don't think this is a Win7 rip-off, besides this idea was created long before Win7 was around. (see the Ubuntu 8.04 incoming artwork wiki for more info)
