It's always a thrill for us to announce our opening night film, and this year is no exception. It gives us great pleasure to reveal that the world premiere of Duncan Jones' Source Code will open SXSW Film 2011.

This mind-bending thriller stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Vera Farmiga and Michelle Monaghan, and marks Jones' return to the kind of smart, nerve-wringing sci-fi that made his name with the visionary Moon (SXSW 2009). Check out our video of our Moon red carpet here.

Jake Gyllenhaal plays Colter Stevens, a soldier who wakes up in the body of an unknown train passenger, in the middle of an explosive situation that only he can prevent...in only 8 minutes. Fellow passenger Michelle Monaghan (Due Date), and Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air) as his commanding officer round out a stellar cast of talent.

  • ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES I HAVE EVER SEEN!!! THIS SHOULD BE MORE POPULAR!!!

  • @18jamesscott Well it's shit regardless.

  • @MrThreshold2009 production on this started before inception was released, couldn't be trying to be inception if they never saw it

  • Bit of an overrated snorefest this one. Too busy trying to be Inception. The two birds are WELL fit, though. Worth watching just to knock one (or more) out over them!

So, my rating is Fart Rating C- : SIlent But Deadly. Causes one hell of a bad stink but not really loud enough to make you take proper notice.

  • @Zac2UzuMaKI Sorry but how do you get the beginning or the end from this trailer

  • ey bro name of song please ..in the end

  • The Prince of Persia or Fightville?

  • Updated Quantum Leap?
