The Roland P-330 uses the same S/A technology as the famous RD-1000 & MKS-20. It features 8 basic tones (3 acoustic pianos, harpsichord, clav, vibraphone and 2 electric pianos) along with chorus, tremelo and EQ to create unique timbres. It has 64 patch program memory to store custom tone and effects settings. Since the P-330 does not have a built-in demo mode, I downloaded a MIDI file of Chopin's Etude Op 10, No 4 and played it from my Roland X6's sequencer while scrolling through the 64 factory preset patch programs.

  • where are the keys?

  • @ELWilliams72 You're right, it does have a very clean sound. I can see how it would come through a lot of things.

  • I like from 2:11 RIGHT to the ending at 2:15!!! THAT SOUNDS AMAZING! Good dissonance.

While this thing sounds a bit dated in the sampling department, I'm fantasically intrigued by it... these apparently are rare due to low production? That's a pity because it would be nice to try.

And they're probably not worth the high prices people ask for, either.

  • @DaSoulChild Sorry I'm responding so late. I found one shortly after I posted that comment last year. Love this module!

  • Don't sleep on this great piano module. The sound "cuts" through any mix and gives you expression unlike almost anything else I've used or heard.

  • @MeMelova22 I tried to PM you but I can't cause I'm not a friend. Anyway. I still have it. PM me when you get this.

  • @petara45 It's a vintage piece of equipment. That's almost like questioning the value of the vintage hammond. Their are certain gear that hold value due to their rarity as xan1242 mentioned

  • @DaSoulChild hey do you still have that Roland P-330 for sale?

  • @petara45 Because its very old and they are hard to find.Roland D-20 costs about $350 or maybe less or more.

  • 300$ for an over 20 years old module with 16 voices polyphony?! No comment.
