Mayor Brown has said that Hydrogen wouldn't be viable until 2010 at the earliest. At World Environment Day in 2005 there was the largest gathering of Fuel Cell vehicles in N. America by the California fuel Cell Partnership. Gavin had just taken office one year earlier.

Out of 1,000 vehicles that use alternative fuel, the mayor touts the city has 2 that use Hydrogen fuel cells. WOW Mayor. What an accomplishment. Mayor Brown must be laughing at you. He would have had half the fleet hydrogen by now.
