Everything happens for a reason. Lakers lost to Celtics because the Celts were the better team that year.

Lakers won this year because they were the better team. And yes they would have beaten the Celdicks in the finals if they made it, because Lakers would have had home court, plus they proved in the season that they were a stronger team then before and are better than the dicks.
