I remember this like yesterday. I never could understand the initial popularity of Madonna. She was not a great singer and the songs were mediocre at best. Then I saw her for the first time making this performance. She had such huge stage presence, and how on earth could she dance like that and sing at the same time?? I was blown away...
Live Aid '85 must go to history as the most gigantic, fantastic live event ever. Everybody was there, and it was a tremendous marathon experience.

She sounds like in the CD. How is she singing bad?? Her voice was at her best. Listen that low and upper register . . . .this woman is a true singer.
