Whitney visited Saturday as part of a student tour with the University of Washington. After seeing our experimental rainwater filter, she recounted her experience drinking rainwater for five months in Thailand. Our visitors always teach us as much as we share we them. City Farmer.

  • Lived in Thailand 8 years.

when rainy season starts initial flow of water from roof is diverted away from storage tanks as dirt, bird and cat droppings etc. need to be washed away. After that water is channeled into large concrete jars for drinking, washing etc.

If anything this water is better fro your health than bottled water.

  • the roofs are kinda clean.. UV Radiation and heating of the corrugated metal seems to be able to take care of that! Thank you

  • I drank the water in Mexico once... it did not turn out well LOL :(

I'll opt to filter my rainwater first.

  • Wow...you always here of a million and one ways to treat water and to never drink untreated water. Very cool to hear about.
