This commercial is ten times cooler than the actual game. Although that was the case for many Atari games. I think The Empire Strikes Back was the only really good Star Wars game for Atari.

Cool advert, the script writers for The Last Starfighter must've based their storyline from this. :) I remember when this game was released back in the day. The 2600 could never have replicated the film's special effects sequences but back then, neither could any of the other machines.
The first console to really do it justice was the Gamecube with Rogue Leader.
