Hey guys, I'm going to put up a number of videos like this one. Let me know if you dont like the style of presentation etc.

This is the foundation for a simple refinery piece, essentially it looks like a smoke stack - the aim was to put sevral tubes down and flesh them out with various smaller pipes and tubes.

So far we have the basic shape, next we will keep adding more details, to this and several other pieces.

  • can you use pva instead of the hot glue or is it essential

  • PVA is actually stronger when dried then hot glue ... I would have used PVA if I wanted something stronger.

  • i love ur vids like these ones theres awesome!!!

  • Cheers

  • You know what Viv, the style of presentation is absolutely horrible... =P Just kidding bud.

Your voice comes in clearly and we have a nice wide shot of your whole workspace. It makes it easy to see everything your doing =D

It's funny, I just finished up a couple silo / oil tanks for a refinery area for our Apocalypse game this weekend. Perfect timing for you to release this vid. =P

    Great stuff!

  • I'm working on the presentation of the videos! I promise, I'll make them better ... ;-) How did the Apoc game go?

  • Looks like a cocacla, ice tea and pringles party is iin order :D

  • yeah thats what I mean.

  • Anytime man!

  • yeah, sounds good. Mine will end up with hazard signs etc. Might make a few broken/ruined pieces with exposed sludge etc also.

  • Cheers, I really appreciate that!

  • It does smoke a bit when you use it ... not aware if they fumes are toxic, though I doubt it. Not too expensive, you can pick up uber top of the line models, but a cheap 20-25 dollar gun will last for a while. The small ones are good for smaller things, but I find they burn out after a while.
