if red can withstand fire, and blue can withstand water, what can yellow withstand

in the first game they don't withstand anything, they just fly higher when thrown and can pick up bomb-rocks. But in the second game they can withstand electricity

you need the 25 essential parts to get the normal ending and all 30 to get the good ending

They don't turn into flowers. It's if you leave them behind but miles away from any enemies - hence why it worked in the Beady Long Legs' place.
