This was my favorite school film from my childhood. Seeing it again brings back vivid memories and almost makes me cry. It seemed that nobody else had this up on here, so I had to do it! Enjoy!

i rember when i was in 4th grade in st.louis mo at dehart elementry and it was the last year for this school our whole school put this musical on and it was a blast thank you for posting this it brought back memeries
This was great - so nice to see/hear this again. A big part of my childhood. I remember figuring out the chords & playing this song (Free to be...) on the guitar - it has a very cool chord progression. Marlo Thomas et al should be very proud that this has stood the test of time and so many people seem to love it so much! Thanks mooncrystle.
When we watched this in school it was on film. I wonder how many kids today even know what a film projector is, let alone having used one. Makes me feel so old but this program does bring back great memories from the third grade.
Yes, there was nothing like watching 16mm films in school. Today, kids only see video or video projection. Not the same thing at all! Sad. I was one of those AV "nerds" in school and this was one of the first films I got to show.
Yep. I was in 3rd grade in 1991 and my teacher played this on the projector. (Yeah--this film was being used that late----can't imagine anyone plays it now, though...). My sister is seven years younger than me, and she claims she never once saw a projector used in school. What a difference those seven years made.
