I knew I wanted to do a video concerning the seventies feminist movement. I find it very interesting. I wanted to juxtapose the manor in which women were represented by the media in actual commercials from the seventies to the feminist ideas of activist Betty Friedan, author of "The Feminine Mystique." I also wanted to make my video a two-way medium. I wanted the audience to not only watch, but to take part and interact with the video, much like Richard Serra's "Television Delivers People."
