Saw her in Bangkok on her farewell tour. She didn't sing much opera, but she did an encore of O Mio Babbino... I cried my eyes out!

Just Carmen today at Lyric Opera in Chicago. Micaela's Aria was the most heart rendering moment today...wow.

Amazing. Born in 1944, she's older than Pres Clinton or Bush. Fabulous career.

She approaches high notes with the most beautiful ease. ugh! She's unbelievable, even now.

Much too is made of how well Joan S sang at 60..... actually wobbled at 60 .. Kiri's voice is as steady as they come.. just lovely.. way better than listening to Sutherland.. who was ...less musical as well.
