  • Salam aleykum wa rahma tullahi wa barakatuhu

barak allahu feeki for your advice, masha allah i twill try to implement it.

I didn´t really get, whats we have to eat to get a stronger memory ?.

wa aleykum salam wa rahma tullahi wa barakatuhu

  • @aminahmuminah

Wa 'alaykum assalaam wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh. Wa feeki barak'Allah ukhti. There are certain foods which are said to improve the memory, such as almonds. The most important thing though, is consistency, if you get into a daily routine of memorisation, insha'Allah your memory will be strengthened, and with Allah is the help. Wa 'alaykum assalaam wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh.

  • Tips: 1) Strong, pure niyyah for seeking Allah alone, 2) Do some every day, 3) Every so often take a break to have someone else check/review with you, 4) Study both the translation AND in-depth tafseer like Taqi Usmani's. It helps you remember how the verses link together in unique & coherent way. 4) Studying tajweed with a teacher is a MUST, 5) For visual learners, writing the verses on a white board helps a lot!, 6) Praise Allah every step of the way for His guidance and what you gain.

Jazaakum Allahu khayraa. One of the most reliable Tafseers is Ibn Katheer, and al-Jalaalayn is also good.

  • how can we make the quran strong in memory

  • @danyalhabib123

    Assalaamu 'alaykum,

You need to do it every day, at a time where you don't have distractions, and be disciplined (don't miss days). Revision is the key to making the Qur'an strong, there is no point in memorising if you don't review, since eventually you will lose it. Also, try and memorise with the meaning, this helps me.

  • Barak allahu feek for answering me masha allah.

  • lol...there are always comments like this nowadays. Brother, what the sheikh meant was that you should fear the teacher in an academic way. Like you fear your father and mother. Not the fear like that of Allah(sbt). Fear here = discipline + Respect, so that you will be punctual and on time. It is like when you are at army, school or work, you fear your general, teacher or manager. Sheikh is saying, when you fear that person for the purpose of quran, this is to say, you respect him, not worship.

  • @clearsunnysky The most important thing to learn is the rules of tajweed and correct pronunciation, for which it is vital to have a teacher for the practical part. Learning the theory and trying to implement it yourself is not sufficient. The beautification of the voice and melody comes after implementing the rules of tajweed, and there's no problem in trying to pick this up through listening to famous Quraa. Hope this helps insha'Allah.

  • So if a teacher is important for tajweed and proper pronounciation, is it enough inshallah to learn through a melodious qari like Mishari Rashid al Efasy? If you learn the melody exactly (and recall it like the thousands of songs people know in the world) will that fulfill inshallah what the shaikh was mentioning in this audio?
