Who told you this information? In early 2001 they had no access at all to making any nuclear weapons and were not pursuing it. If anyone should be invaded on the basis of WeaponsofMassDestruction it should be US/UK. Most of the worst weapons in existence are in the hands of those hunting them...Apparently.

how to build a bomb is no secret. getting the expertise and resources to do it is the issue when it comes to a nation going nuclear. north korea proved that where theres a will, theres a way. the cats been out of the bag for quite a while people, this isn't 1945.
