@GoldFist090 I get what you're saying, but the whole adding "edginess and attitude" thing to the series seemed incredibly unnecessary. What was wrong with the bright, charming world from the first game? It certainly stood out a lot more in the gaming world of the 2000s (funny how people claimed platformers "needed to change" at the time, yet the FPS genre hasn't seen significant change since Halo).
And yeah, I was talking about Lost Frontier. Why did Naught Dog give up the series anyway?

@SloganYams Jak was experimented and tortured in a Prison for 2 whole years! Of course you'd want veneance! And as Jak 2 went on, Jak gained his old personality back, his sense of humour was still there and his purity was still there, especially in Jak 3. It's just that he had a badass side to him as well, Jak's character did develop, it's just that before Jak 2, he lived on a tiny little island. He only knew kind people. Also if you mean Jak X(the real 4th one) then that is amazing, TLF sucks.

@GoldFist090 Character development requires a character to have...well, character. What happened to Jak wasn't character development so much as Naughty Dog abandoning the character they made and conforming to make him fit into the mundane, generic, vengeance-seeking archetype of...every other video game character.
The games were all still fun (okay, I never played the fourth one. But who did?), but I would have preferred if they kept the color, charm and personality of the first game.
