Nearly full moon photographed through Galileoscope 10/04/09.
Camera was an old Phillips TouCam with an adapter to hold it in focuser tube.
The lens of the webcam was removed so this is prime focus photography--the Galileoscope objective lens focuses the light directly on the sensor.
Motion is just due to rotation of the earth (and wind). Birds fly across moon twice.
See Galileoscope website for more information about this project--very nice inexpensive scope.

  • Nice!

  • Cool. I think that's the sharpest and most magnified moon video I've seen with Galileoscope.
