I agree with what you are saying -- but it isnt todays generation that dropped the ball first.
Todays young adults are just the products of the screw ups that were young in the 70's.
You make many great points TMOT but alot of the older guys like you like to pretend like this is the first generation of the black community that screwed up. Thats false.
I'm not talking about you personally TMOT but it was your generation that started screwing up. (the under 60-65 or so crowd now)

The youth have devolved to the point where a belt is a high tech invention. They want an Iphone but they are not evolved enough to wear a belt or wear a pair of pants right.

you are so right!!!! character,pride, respect and the can do atitude is missing from so many today...i often wonder how it happened. i have an idea about it all. i can say i have raised and given my children the tools to be all they can but sometimes wonder if they will put forth the effort to use the tools and follow the examples they were given. but as they say a parents job is never done!!
