Is the teenage girl in this commercial devastated over the changes to her Coke, or what? Pepsi was in such a hurry to counter the publicity surrounding the "New Coke" that they videotaped this commercial rather than filming it! Anyway, I find it difficult to believe that this chic NEVER tried a Pepsi before then. I mean, I'm a Pepsi girl, myself, but I've still tried Coke, for crying out loud! Anyhoo, the emo teen actress in this commercial is Alyson Kirk, who once played ANNIE on broadway- and who obviously never took the Pepsi Challenge at her local mall.

  • @MattTheSaiyan

    I forgive you!

  • @Smartboy8877 I'm sorry. It's just that it is hard to see what is sarcasm and what isn't on the Internet. I usually just guess. In this case, I guessed incorrectly.

  • @MattTheSaiyan

I was not being sarcastic at all! I really did learn a lot from you and was very thankful for the information! Now I am having second thoughts!

  • @Smartboy8877 I don't like your sarcasm.

  • @MattTheSaiyan

You seem to be a real fountain of wisdom! Very happy to have met you!

  • @Smartboy8877 Because commercials shot on video tape instead of 35mm or 16mm film tended to look cheaper and more "stagey". Same goes for TV (for example compare two 1970s sitcoms: The 35mm film "The Brady Bunch", and the video-taped "Welcome Back Kotter". Big difference! Same applied beyond the 70s and well into the 1980s)
