  • @caliliferocks Glass's music is minimalistic, and like all good art, is supposed to change the way in which the individual perceives the piece and the world. He incorporates elements of Zen Buddhism and eastern music into his compositions. Sometimes art is more about the message the artist wishes to convey rather than the level of skill in its creation. Perhaps you'd find his compositions more meaningful if you learned about Glass and under whom he studied, and what he wanted to convey.

  • wow he's simply a musical genius, love his stuff! it makes my feel at home with myself

  • @caliliferocks welcome to minimalist music =]

  • @snootzie78 the problem consist in that you define music in boring and funny terms. Like Pop corn cinema, when you realize that it´s and art, you´ll be able to understand that the music and other stuff have lot of shades that requires more knowledge, thing that you don´t have.

  • @caliliferocks Sorry music genius, why don´t you write a Symphony?

  • molto convincente all'ascolto, accessibile

  • Absolutely captivating.

  • always has an effect on me, this concerto does... don't know what it is about it..haunting?..yes..and deep

  • I absolutely love this one.. It's so beautiful. I like to close my eyes and listen to this masterpiece..

  • I always thought 'modern' (post 1950's-ish) classical music sucked, until I heard this concerto on a cold, winter's night in Massachusetts. What the hell did I know? I bought a recording of it immediately (Houston Symphony with Robert McDuffie) and I have listened to it ever since. Hauntingly beautiful.
