    I'm so tired of my people killing people in our hood. I'm a Sistah, who feels she has a cross she must bare. We have to start putting pressure on the Sistahs that are harboring their children, lovers, grandchildren, etc. when they know that the person they are harboring has committed murder on our people.     Read an interview about this song. Sly got it played in a club before release, general feeling/feedback from the crowd was that it was quite mellow and not very danceable. So you know what Sly did next...2mins and 16 seconds and we have one of the most ridiculous, tough and funky breakdowns ever!!

    What would've been my idea of a Dream Summer concert? Sly and the Family Stone, Jimi Hendrix Experience, Bob Marley & The Wailers, The Doors, Santana, Three Dog Night, Buddy Miles Express, The Rolling Stones, Grand Funk Railroad and WAR. Yeah...But now I guess it's time to wake up to reality.
