More from Cheddington....47635 heads 90040 on a down service train, returning south, still in charge, about 2 hours later. Whatever the problem was, it was fixed in time for the class 90 to head north unassisted, in the final clip, 2 hours 40 minutes later.

  • @plantypants Then why an earth did you watch it?!:S

  • Utter fucking rubbish!

  • 47's at speed sound a lot like valenta's don't they!

  • it was about mid-afternoon as we was heading back home to London, we was told to catch a local to International and change there, the local was packed out, we got back to Euston 3:30 sometime like that. we was in the second carrage from the rear as there was a free-for-all so we legged it down the platform to the rear to bag some seats.

  • im damn sure we was on the up service, we had to catch a 321 unit from New Street to Birmingham International, there the 47-hauled service rolled in and we made our way south on what was a really hot day, i remember commenting to my friend maybe the 47 will detach at Coventry but of course she didnt, But i am positive i was on that up service on that very train.

  • Fabulous, at speed too :)

  • The driver of that 47 could of been me. There was a day about then when some dickhead masterminded the removal of the old OHLE Neutral section on the slow lines at Ledburn, without putting it's replacement in, so when the juice was restored with opposite poles of 25Kv feeding towards each other. the system went POP. which resulted in a number of diesel drags between MKC and Tring until early afternoon.

  • Might have but too much power in and caused the power to trip on a traction motor
