This automatic based on the Ford-O-Matic which was the Ford's first automatic transmission in 1950, designed by Borg-Warner Corporation. The 3-speed manual was developed from the same case.
The car itself is strongly influenced (= copied) by Ford Customline 4 Door Sedan 1952, -3 and 1954.

I love them! A classic and most beautiful russian car! I'm from sweden and they even used them for taxi's here in the early 60's!
