How people choose to act and manipulate a holy book is 100% different than the message of that book and the true practitioners. Culture and human laws are different than the law of God and it makes me sad that some cultures abuse the holy book to subject women. Islam does give women rights, it is men who ruined it in the eyes of the west. I feel more liberated under Islam than I EVER felt while as a Baptist Christian. My husband supports my education, my knowledge, and my property rights.
