all it does is RAIN in san sebastian. don't waste your time it is sooooooooo overrated. Go to valencia, sevilla, madrid, and if you go north go to Santander. Avoid Bilbao(the grafitti capital of europe). Extrmadure has the best hams and sevilla has the best tapas and pinchos. Viva espana

@DocNOproductions In definition TAPA is a small food you eat in accompaniment of some drink. When you open some snack with your beer a spanish will say you "you´re eating a tapa" when one swiss serves you a traditional swiss melted chesee raclette a Spanish is gonna say "You´re eating a tapa"... basically Tapa means small food, even sweet foods can be. The problem is that not in the US not in Switzerland not in the Basque Country we use that word TAPA to refer small food. That´s all. See you !

"Tapa" is a spanish way to call all the foods you can eat in a bar, can be peanuts, can be ham, can be watever thing you eat with a drink. In basque area we never have used this word, we have diferent foods with the driks and many pintxos (prickles), small foods you can take in your hand and eat easily in one or two bites, ham, peanuts or peackles... are not pintxos, we call to them food or simply "I want peanut portion"...we never ever use that word " I want a tapa of peanuts or tortilla tapa .
