If you haven't read Greek tragedy you can't understand the brilliance of this work. No one has ever re-written Euripides like this. To me, this film confirms Woody Allen as, not just a comedic genius,but a literary genius. The last scene, where the guy descends in a helicopter, is a brilliant parody of the Ancient Greek device of the "Deus Ex Machina" the "God from the machine", who puts everything right. Totally brilliant. Kudos Mr Allen!!

Some writer spent months writing the script; hundreds of people (seamstresses, light techs, camera assistants, etc) worked long days making it into a film--now you won't spend 2 (two!) dollars to rent it?

Woody Allan could engage in a film about a time machine making it possible for him to adopt himself as a reborn child sorting out the consequences and making them plausible to us all. :-)

@emerpus01 I know what you mean, but Woody sticking up for Polanski is laughingly ridiculous. You know what I'm saying. How 'bout O.J. Simpson standing by Chris Brown's side for beating up Rihanna? Does that sound more realistic to you?
