  • why does everyone keep typing shes like KC shes no KC ....shes RUMER and probably just wants to be herself.I love her sound and the feeling she puts into her music, people just enjoy her for herself and stop with all the comparisons

  • I have been an avid Carpenters fan since way back in 1975 being a fan of that overdub crisp clear and rich tone and was keen to hear Rumer since the interview. This track sounds very much like a very young KC heard on Ticket to Ride album from 1969. This song does remind me abit of Rainy Days and Mondays. We could all be so critical whether she does emulate KC but what I can say is this track is superb and a pleasure to listen too. Tommorow I will by this cd.

Wonder what RC would think ?

  • @40Kipp

Rumor has it that she sang it just as The Sandpipers sang it back in the 70's.....I loved it. Great job Rumer!

  • @paulie20033 HHAHAHAHAHHAHA, Karen carpenter, sorry bout that

  • @steamyboy69 it kentucky chicken fool

  • Karen Carpenter is back! Rumer has it! A beautiful voice and I'm hearing you on Saturday morning before heading to the Chicagi Auto Show.

  • @Shamanigans Who's KC ?

  • Beautiful.

  • Awesome, too, that she is connected to Carly Simon/James Taylor through son Ben. Love her singing! Keep it coming Rumer!

Unfortunately .....cannot "like" this song due to incorrect grammar! "Just I and my friend?" really? And everyone I'm sure I have grammatical errors but when it plays over and over....annoying!

  • To Shamanigans: It's the tone, sound, and range of her voice that people are reminded of Karen Carpenter....Rumer is great by her own right! Agreed! I can't stop listening to her but the fact remains that "after she got signed to Atlantic Records last May, her label 'made a concerted effort' to get her music to one of the tiffany names in pop: Burt Bacharach.sought Rumer to sing his songs." (Look up NY daily news article on this)

  • GREAT VOICE AND SONG MANY MEMORIES LONG AGO LAS VEGAS

  • @andyj0703 Despite my analysis below, I think Rumer has a terrific voice on her own for the current music scene.
