Pee Wee's Playhouse. What could I possibly say about this that you wouldn't know if you grew up during the 80s. And for those who did miss it. You missed the earth-shattering preview to the career of Laurence Fishburne as Cowboy Curtis!! Even Phil Hartman had a role in this thing we called entertainment as Captain Carl!!!

First off, stay on topic. I'm not defending athletes. They are in a class of jackassery by themselves. Paul had a kid's show. He was in the spotlight and should have known a certain responsibility came with that. If he wanted to do that in the privacy of his own home, then by all means do it. But all bets are off when you are a celebrity....especially when you are a celebrity with a children's show.

First off. I am on topic. Using athletes was a comparison as they are also in a spotlight just like he was and is. Or are we not allowed to make comparisons the further bring out the point we are trying to get across? Second. I'm not defending him. I'm merely asking why is it that it matters so much when he didnt do this on the air or anywhere near a child? Does what he did change the dynamic of his show and what went on during that half hour? No it did not.

His arrest was publicized because he was a celebrity true. But when has anything a celebrity has done not be publicized by the media. If his crimes were soooo bad why was his show offered on vhs during the 90s? Why was it re-run in syndication? Point being the stupidity that someone does in their personal life should have nothing to do with his livelyhood if it in no way was done during his show or around children. Had he did this and didnt get caught he would of still had a show

Either way. It was a damn good show that should have gone on longer. Michael Vick kills dogs and runs illegal dog fighting rings and he gets $100 million dollar contract after doing his time. Pee Wee Herman does something stupid no where close to what that animal did his life is uprooted in an instant. And I shouldn't compare athletes or anyone else to this? Keep dreaming

And this matters why? He did what he did but "idols" or "athletes" of today can sleep with millions of women. Prove themselves to be womanizers yet they get a pass and people still appreciate their talent in their sport or for whatever reason they are famous. How come Pee Wee couldn't get a pass? Not like he did his business where kids were or anything sick like that. But he got ridiculed to the point to where he was almost in exile except for bit parts in movies here and there...

Pee Wee had a good thing going with this show until he decided to play with his Pee Pee inside of an adult movie theater.

YEEES, I LOVED this show as a kid! I'm no 80s Baby, I'm a 90s Kid, born in '91. But they used to show reruns of PeeWee's on Fox Family (now ABC Family) and I LOVED this show. <3
