Why does such a master of the keyboard use such an unsympathetic and historically incorrect instrument for Bach? Clavichords of Bach's time were double strung, the sound quality of this one is diminished because of the non historic stringing.

The Fugue sounded rather unexpected and estranged. I believe Friedrich Gulda managed to combine freedom of interpretation with delicacy of approach, as well as tranquility of intonation.
