Special thanks to my stunning model, Jacquelyn xo

The most glamorous hairstyle I can think of is the soft touchable waves that were made infamous by Veronica Lake. No matter how long your hair is, you can create a classic Hollywood hairstyle with a curling iron and a natural bristle brush.

In this video I show you the shortcut to obtaining this iconic hairstyle. Rather than setting the hair in a roller set, I create a wave pattern with the curling iron using a wrap and twist technique. From there we brush the waves out with a natural bristle brush. Doing this creates a soft wave pattern, very Veronica Lake... It's the modern yet iconic soft wave set.

The best part about wearing this iconic hairstyle is that it's perfect for a wedding, bride or bridesmaid, prom or special event. No matter where you go or what you wear, get ready for compliments!

  • I tried to this hairstyle to myself and it turned out to be a complete fail. Can you demonstrate yourself doing this hair style? :) Thank!

  • @MaretProChikTV If you search through my videos check out the "secret to kardashian hair" it's the same technique. Practice, you'll get it :)

  • I have learned SO much from you, seriously i think you are in my top 3 with Lisa Eldrige, and the pixiwoo girls. You are a true professional, serious and you know how to speak and to pass your knowledge. Please never stop making videos, your clients are very lucky.

  • @Glammin69 That means a lot to me. I really respect Lisa and the Chapman girls, that is quite a compliment to be put in their company. I love making these videos, I appreciate your kind words and thank you for supporting my channel!

  • This is awesome! I want to wear my hair like this for my junior prom. I'll be getting it done though because honestly I can't really do all that work behind myself and I have a ton of hair. I hope they do it well like this though! Once I had my hair done for a formal and it wasn't what I wanted at all but still looked fine.

  • mmm instant noodle waves. great tutorial!!

  • Very beautiful!

  • gorgeous! you are such a great teacher :)

  • I Love this!! I set my hair in pin curls every night and the alternating pin curls are a lot harder to do then this. LOL beautiful!!!! I wish you could do my hair for my wedding!!!

  • dang it...I just took my extensions out! This would have been superb with more than my shoulder length hair I'm rocking right now :(

  • it didnt come out exactly like yours but it still came out super nice and just at the right time i had cut my hair and felt like i could do absolutley nothing with my hair!!:)

  • Can i use hot rollers as long as i twist the hair? I'm not too good with a curling iron.

  • GOSH!!! YOU are so talented! So well explained, so good! THANK YOU SO MUCH! GOD BLESS YOU!
