@zackhanscom Ya I agree. He's not fessin' up the the intent that everyone else obviously picks up on. If it wasn't parody? Then who the fuck would watch it? For what reason? Its "another way of looking at it..." value? Bullshit. He's being deliberately evasive on the intent. Of course he's poking fun. and not just at the music aspects either. He is parodying the "person types" and their respective mindsets.

@jimfliptx PS: Why don't you let Chris Guest "Meat u"?
-
@jimfliptx Ya and although he did not direct spinal tap, he did help improvise a lot of it and wrote the music with Micheal and Harry. I suppose that isn't a parody either? By the way are you Gay for Guest?

"Do you still play folk music?"
"Apparently"
Hahaha! Brilliant.
Charlie Rose is actually very good with more intellectual guests. It's like he doesn't know how to find a hook with with Guest here. He acts here like he's *heard* of humor; he's heard of this social phenomenon of people *laughing*; and he's interested in it. But that he doesn't actually participate in jocularity.

"Hello! Tonight Guest is my guest. Now Mr. Guest, you make absurd, funny movies and yet you yourelf are not absurd. How exactly is that possible, Mr. Guest? For it seems to contradict many of the strange assumptions I have about human nature?"
