Agreed. I'd like to know just how accurate the government is as a whole as far as economics are concerned, particularly when labour has decided to pump 54billion pounds of revenue generated from tax payers into northern rock or whatever it was.

A good first Queens Speech. It needs to be built on to separate the Brown vision from the Blair one and from Cameron who is increasingly trying to make himself more Blairite.

Gordon Brown talks about education but when I educate\ retrain myself, I have pay VAT at 17.5% on any course I take. When he talks about unlocking the talents of the people, he is talking about taxing the worst off who have not a cat in hells chance of getting out of the poverty trap. Here is a suggestion: those who earn less than £20,000 a year should not have to pay tax at all. Mr Brown should get rid of the personal allowance for people who earn £70,000 and above.

wow this is great. Britain is a great Nation, Gordon Brown looks like a great man, and he cares for you Brits, i wish we Dominicans had a president like that, cheers for all of you, best hopes :D
