France, Italy, Russia, Greece, they all wanted a piece of Turkey. They encouraged and persuaded the minorities in the crumbling Ottoman Empire to rise against their government. They hoped this would ease their task and help them to destroy the last vestiges of already weakened Ottoman authority. Armenians took up arms alongside the invading enemy. Imperialist dreams made many innocent people to suffer. Armenians were not innocent bystanders.

the difference between holocaust denial and armenian genocide denial is that germany's govt doesn't sponsor denial literature and it doesn't deny the holocaust. turkey's govt is the exact opposite; they have engaged in a needless pursuit of denial which has only dwindled over the years, and will eventually burn itself out; the truth cannot die.

don't worry, this will change...the former president of ADL resigned since there was resistance on the part of SOME Jews to recognize the Armenian genocide...his argument was that for Jews to not recognize it would be very hypocritical! patience is a virtue, and for us being patient isn't hard, b/c we have the truth on our side.
