Apparitions of the Virgin - part 2 (Lourdes II + Fatima l ).

Why does God use apparitions? God is freedom and in his infinite power he has created the reality, the time, the man. He gave to his creation a part of freedom and reasonableness (partem capere - in the nature there are such qualities too), since the most insignificant beings to the one that has the ability to differ over other.
With the free will the man can choose the good or the bad, to kill or not to kill, so the human history is a whole of free acts.
God doesn't interfere changing anything if not he won't be anymore the supreme freedom, but he gives him the possibility to excercite such freedom, as well as he gives the possibility to be honest, to be faithful etc. But he is also Love and so he doesn't leave the man to himself, with benevolence he makes some breaks in the human history from where, through the Virgin Mary, he warms the man when he surpasses his limits leaving the right way.
So the apparitions are a sign of the divine presence, a kindly support to all the humanity in times of difficulty, and a request for conversion to a modern man that is more and more deaf, indifferent, closed in his false atheism, in his false rationalism...

there is a simple test to know if it is the work of satan, is the message given in accordance with the bible and messages of God? yes it is, please before you discern such a great sign from god, please read up on the true story, and see if anything really clashes with Gods message,

I know God says not to worship anyone or thing but him, and we Catholics follow that to a T, the reason why mary is so special to us is because of her continued help to the world, and many miracles

@mackfielder If you've looked around lately you'd notice that it is an evil and adulterous generation. How do you know that Jesus wasn't talking specifically about the generation of his time and not future generations? After all, the sign he gave his generation was the sign of Jonah. He fulfilled that sign with his death, burial, and resurrection. Are you putting limits on what God can do? limiting his love and mercy, on what he can do in order to get our generation to turn back to him?

@bella50008 Jesus said that a house divided could not stand. The messages from Mary encourage people to obey the Commandments, to love and live holy lives, and most of all, to follow Jesus. How does it help Satan if these apparitions of Mary convince people to turn their lives from evil and become Jesus' followers?

Protestants and lots of non-Catholics are very mad to the mother of Jesus.If in the ten commandments, God said, "Honor your father and your mother", it follows that Jesus perfectly honors not only his father in Heaven but also his mother. If we consider Jesus as our brother, friend, and our God, why can we not also consider his mother as our mother too. The mother of Jesus is as human as we are but she deserves to be loved, respected, and appreciated for being chosen as the mother of Jesus

The problem in the world today is not about religion and faith but how intolerant and violent people can be in pursuance of their beliefs. If you claim your religion is the true one, then one of its basic tenets should be respect, tolerance and love. But from the many comments posted here against the Blessed Virgin, you do not know what respect and tolerance is. If we believe in the Blessed Virgin, allow us and respect our choice, maybe by doing so you are displaying truth about your religion...

The so-called appearance of Mary at Lourdes CAN'T be a holy thing! Meaning it COULDN'T have been Mary that appeared!!..if there was any appearance at all to begin with.

Here's how the Bible prepared us for such appearances:

Matthew 16:4 - An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, but NO sign shall be given to it except the sign of Jonah." So he left them and departed. 2 Corinthians 11:14 - And no wonder, for even Satan DISGUISES himself as an angel of light.
