People back then who train like this were legend of wrestling and have tremendous overall strenght fight like the wild aimals. but they don't get any respect. To the people of the world they believe its boring and not entertaining.

I have discussed the Persian meels (clubs) with The Iron Sheik and his present manager Eric Simms, and this ancient exercise, the Jori swing, is by far the most challenging of all exercises. A 15 pound club is equivalent in force because of torque, to a 75lb. dumbbell or 54lb. kettlebell. Even juice head power lifters could not do it.
