@Nervakis Well, from what read on a forum, it basically states that Necron is Soulcage. Try to Google "Necron Theory" and read it, it is a very well detailed theory and there is even evidence to support it.

necron is the soul embodiment of the lifa tree.
when you kill him he tells you that you have only defeated his physical self. the lifa tree was the embodiment of strife/pain/destruction etc. and necron comes to end everything after the destruction of the crystal.
the more you know.
